This is one of those quick meals that are thrown together when I don’t have a “real” meal planned. It’s tasty, but certainly not healthy for you. None of the ingredients need to be measured exactly…like I said quick and easy.
Pizza Pockets
Ingredients:
(Makes 4)
(Makes 4)
· Can of crescent roll dough
· ~1 cup marinara sauce
· ~30 pepperonis
· ~1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese
· ~1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
Directions:
· Preheat oven to temperature on crescent roll container (375 degree F for mine)
· Open can and take two of the rolls, but don’t “break” them apart; they should be in a rectangle
· Place on pan and flatten/spread out. Make sure the diagonal “seam” is together so that you essentially just have a rectangle of dough
· Place spoonful of marinara on dough, sprinkle mozzarella, layer pepperonis, sprinkle Parm and add another spoonful of sauce
· Carefully fold in half
· Pinch all of the edges closed so that nothing get “escape” out of your pocket
· Bake approximately 10 minutes (until dough is cooked/golden)
· Serve with marinara for dipping
