Poor guy has no idea that we were taking him to the vet last night not only to get up to date on his vaccines and to get some meds for his right eye, but also to have his man bits removed.

 

 

The rescue pays for all vet care and medication at the local bulldog specialist, but it's in the suburb of Lockport, so the whole trip took about 2.5 hrs round trip AND I have to do it all again today after work (yep, I decided to go for a 4-day weekend next week instead of having today off) to pick him up after surgery.

 

Ben and I have had discussions that although Chicago is big, it really doesn't feel all that big.  We're familiar with several of the neighborhoods and downtown making it seem smaller I suppose.  It's views like this that remind us how big, and gorgeous, this city really is.
