12/12/12's Deals and Steals

Happy 12/12/12 folks! I didn't think the date was all that exciting or interesting (especially since the Packers have deemed it Aaron Rodger's Day and I'm a lifelong Bears fan). But, thinking about it yesterday, the next time the month, day, and last two years of the year, will be the same will be January 1st, 3001; which is approximately 988 years away.  Maybe today's date is kind of cool?  To "celebrate" I made Monster Cookies last night with 12 ingredients.  Yes, I'm a dork like that. On a more personal level today, last night I lifted weights for the first time in probably a month.  It may seem recent, but considering in October I was running 5+ days a week, it's a big change.  However, I welcomed the soreness I felt this morning when I woke up.  It means I worked hard last night (although all of the cookies I ate probably counteracted my exercise).  I've struggled to find the motivation to get to the gym now that it's cold and dark by the time I get home. Now that we're finished gift shopping, I feel like I have less to do (and less excuses) for not working out.  Let's get back on that horse!
