I'm off enjoying my run and tire change, but am wishing you a wonderful weekend! Here's something to keep your mind on summer.
As summer winds down, we enjoy one of our favorite bully activities: swimming. You may recall from
last summer, Oscar loves "swimming". Bulldogs of course are not known to swim, but that doesn't stop Osc from trying!
Last summer we bought a kiddie pool for him (although I'll admit, I've laid out in it once or twice). Recently it was the perfect time, not to hot and not too cold to pull it out.
Oscar is used to the pool and loves being in water (if you say "bath" he will run and jump in the tub). Huey, on the other hand, was quite skeptical about what was going on. After all he loves baths, but his favorite part is the massage as he's lather up in soup.

Ben saw recently that our local NBC news was taking submissions of summer dog pictures so I submitted this picture and Oscar is currently the
first out of 414! Our
little 65 pound
man dog is famous! #proudmomma
Yep, it's safe to say that for all of us, including Osc, summer is one of our favorite times of year!
Beautiful bullies! I will have to try that with mine (should we ever get an actual hot day).

ReplyDeleteNow that we have a pool, Roxy is brave and runs all around it on the edge. But she does NOT want to come in the water. We've brought her onto the sun shelf a few times much to her dismay. And she fell in once a week or two ago and sunk like a rock. We scooped her out right away of course, but she kicks as hard as she can and gets no where. So, needless to say she is not allowed on the pool deck unless we are out there to watch her. Bulldogs are a lot of things, but they are not swimmers :(
