9/18's Deals and Steals

I apologize for the missing Taste of Tuesday post yesterday. My mind is obviously elsewhere and over the weekend I was focused more on Ben than tasks such as blogging.  Ben is generally okay. His body is sore all over and he has two bumps on his head that he rotates his ice pack between.  In general, he's not much of a talker when it comes to serious matters and for something like this, he really doesn't want to talk about it. I pry a little every day, just to try to check on his mental well being. Maybe it's the whole though of being "manly", but as we both know, everything happened so quickly there was really no time to react.

We're just taking things day by day. Yesterday I was told which detective would be assigned to our case. When I left him a voicemail, his machine said "I'll call you at my earlier convenience". Sure  sounds promising. Riiiight.

As a quick note, I apologize for the focus on this, but my blog, in some instances, is more or less my journal and a place for me to get out my thoughts and reflect.  I hope you don't mind while I do that for this traumatic event.
