You made it to another Friday, yay! Do you have any exciting plans for this weekend?
It’s Lollapalooza weekend here, the big three-day music fest in Grant Park. It’s sold out, as it is every year, but you can usually scalp a ticket if you think it’s really worth it. Personally, I don’t. Last year, thanks to Ben, we scored the “souvenir” sale price of $60 for 3-day passes. Considering a one day pass is $95 and a full-price 3 day pass is $230, it was an insane deal. Friday night Coldplay played and I was happy paying $60 to see just them, even though we did go all three days. It’s an exciting and crazy experience, but one that I don’t think is worth the hefty price tag.
This year’s headliners are Black Sabbath, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Keys, Jack White, Florence + The Machine, etc. I’ve been Chili Peppers before; and otherwise I’d really only care to see Black Keys and Florence, but that’s okay.
So what are we doing this weekend? A whole lot of nothing! Ha, well nothing exciting. Current plans are to try to do some major closet cleanouts (look for updated blog sale page in near future), brew some beer and hit up the beach. The majority of our friends are out of town or ARE going to Lolla, so we’re looking forward to something low key, which will actually be nice because from now until our trip, seven weekends, we have plans or events for six of them!
