Floral and Stripes (WWIW - 4/17)

If there's one pattern I feel comfortable mixing other patterns with, it's stripes.  I wear them so often that I consider them a neutral. Don't you?! says the girl who owns four different long-sleeved navy/white striped shirts.  (How does this happen?)



Sunday was it was gorgeous in Chicago. It actually felt like spring.  What better way to celebrate spring than to pull out my magenta bag I've been waiting to use as well as toss on a floral scarf?

I bought this scarf in Barcelona last April with every intention of giving it to a girlfriend as a gift from our trip.  Time passed and I forgot.  This weekend I found it, in it's original bag, in my closet.  It would be weird to give someone a gift a year after a trip they didn't even go on, right? 

Or maybe that's just what I'm telling myself so I don't feel bad keeping it.

PS- Did you notice my small DIY to this shirt? Another "diy" hint is that this scarf isn't an infinity; I just tied the two ends together and wore it as so!
