- There differentiator for this card is that it earns 1x's points on all other purchases, but also has a 5x's bonus category that rotates quarterly, up to $1,500 in combined purchases (aka an option to earn an extra 7,500 points quarterly if you can maximize the spend in the categories)
In addition....
Both of these cards also offer 6 month's of DashPass, which gets you free Doordash Delivery as well as $10 quarterly to use for non-restaurant Doordash orders and 2% back on Lyft rides paid with your Freedom card
Summary
Overall, if you are a low spender, not interested in business cards or you simply want more points - I think grabbing the Freedom Unlimited elevated offer is well worth it! This card can be a great everyday card with it's categories to earn more points on every.single.purchase.
And the fact that you can do it with no annual fee, is amazing!!
Although the Freedom Flex isn't an elevated offer, it's still a decent card to have, especially if you can maximize the quarterly category spend!
I hold two Chase Freedoms (one from 10+ years ago and a second from when I downgraded a Sapphire card) and I will continue to hold a Freedom into the future!
