Last night was Wing Night. We met up with B&B at a bar down the street, Bird's Nest (endorsed by Oprah as her favorite wings in the city; although we've been frequenting this place before that. It's the first bar I went to in Chicago), for $0.45 cent wings and the Bulls game. It turned out this was everyone else in the city's plan because the place was packed. Lucky for us we had rode our bikes there so we were able to quickly hop over to the back up plan, Gamekeepers (note: I only agreed to ride bikes to burn calories because I didn't work out and I knew I'd be eating like crap).
Ben and I had discovered Gamekeepers in 2008, when we first moved to the city (and our first time living together). It was a convenient six minute bus ride (or walkable 1.5 miles) from where we were leaving AND they had (and still have) 10 cent wings on Thursday nights. Amazing. We went every Thursday. Maybe this is why I gained that weight (a few pounds here and there) when we first moved in together.
Not so amazing? The Bulls losing. But hey, ya win some (wings), ya loose some (Bulls).
